Volunteer Opporunities
Worship Committee
The purpose of the Worship Committee is to assist the pastor in providing meaningful worship of God, and to encourage the people to participate fully and regularly. Some responsibilities include arranging for Ushers, preparing for Communion, preparing the Sanctuary, assisting the pastor with special events, and assisting the pastor in assessing and meeting the congregation's worship needs.
Other volunteer opportunities within the Worship Committee include: Ushers, Lay Readers, and Bulletin Team.

Christian Education Committee
The purpose of the Christian Education Committee is to encourage, support and resource the development of Christian faith within our families, church and community by providing opportunities for biblical study and reflection. Responsibilities include Sunday school for all ages, Vacation Bible School, supporting the promotion of youth activities.

Mission Committee
The purpose of the Mission Committee is to share the good news of the Gospel by promoting mission opportunities in our community and throughout the world, to educate our church family and the community of the outreach programs and mission needs that are available to us. The Mission Committee is to invite the participation of others through sharing our faith with Sweetwater Mission, MUST Ministries, Compton Elementary, The Extension, Thornwell, and many others.

Building & Grounds Committee
The purpose of the Building & Grounds Committee is to oversee the care, protection, maintenance of all church property. Responsibilities include grounds maintenance, equipment maintenance, building maintenance, use of property.

Kitchen Volunteers/Hospitality Crew
The Kitchen Volunteers and Hospitality Crew work together to provide weekly meals for the congregation. They help to strengthen and nurture the faith and life of the congregation through fellowship opportunities, special events, and welcoming of visitors and new members.

Music
Our congregation encourages the cultivation of musical talent. We have many opportunities for the entire family to participate in this ministry. Our traditional choir allows you to share the gospel of Jesus through song. The organ accompanies our choir on Sunday mornings. The Early Service Choir (ESC) shares each service and sings a wide variety of music and is accompanied by keyboards and guitars. If you are musically inclined and play an instrument, we have an excellent Brass and Woodwind band. Our band provides music for special occasions throughout the year. All instruments are welcome. If you have a love of bells, we have a bell choir that performs several times during the year.
